I was just checking one of the myspace sites that’s a friend of REV21. It’s an X-porn star. Her site is packed with sexual addiction recovery info, articles, links to other porn recovery sites, etc.
One display caught my attention… and brought it all home.
She has a photo slide show created called “In loving memory of the porn stars.” People like Savannah, J. Holmes, etc. I lost count of the amount of people pictured. You’re able to click on their photo and see what they died from. Looks like 75% died from different forms of suicide. Most others from AIDS, alcohol/drug abuse.
It was soooo sad. To think that they were all God’s precious creation, too. And they died hopeless, and lost.
I don’t know if I’ve ever ached so much for the tragic loss of people in that industry… which also saddens me about myself… I think part of the function of the pain/loss of this world is to help really mean it when we pray “Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done…”
